Working in Japan can feel confusing due to unclear processes and scattered information.
We provide clear guidance about next steps so candidates can make confident, well-informed decisions.

False Promises & Unrealistic Expectations

Many people are misled by exaggerated claims about salaries and life in Japan.
We share honest, realistic information about expectations, responsibilities, and outcomes — helping candidates prepare with clarity, not assumptions.

Lack of Real-World Readiness

Language alone is not enough to succeed in Japan.
Our approach focuses on preparing candidates for workplace culture, social norms, and real-life challenges before they arrive.

Cultural Gaps

Cultural differences often create misunderstandings at work and in daily life.
We emphasize cultural understanding and mindset training so candidates can adapt smoothly and build trust in Japanese environments.

Limited Post-Arrival Support

Support often stops once candidates reach Japan.
We stay involved beyond arrival — assisting with settlement, adjustment, and future career direction.

Short-Term Career Thinking

Many programs focus only on job placement.
Our focus is on long-term growth — developing skills, mindset, and adaptability that support sustainable careers in Japan and beyond.

Mission

We empower people to grow beyond borders.

Through Japanese language education, soft skills training, and real-world work opportunities in Japan, we help individuals build confidence, discipline, and a global mindset — skills that stay with them for life.

Vision

Creating a world where anyone can work in the right place.

Regardless of where one is born or the environment one grows up in, every individual should be able to use their abilities and create value in the “right place” for them. We strive to make such opportunities possible—and to expand them beyond national borders.

Founder & CEO (Japan)

Eisuke Shigetoku

I founded Job is Well because I could not ignore what I witnessed in India.

I founded Job is Well because I could not ignore what I witnessed in India. While volunteering with an NGO in Bihar for nearly a year, I met young people who were capable, ambitious, and ready to work—yet locked out of stable opportunities. Many told me they dreamed of working in Japan, not for luxury, but for dignity and security.

At the same time, Japan faces a serious labor shortage. I saw a clear truth: these two realities should meet—but only in the right way. Migration should never be exploitative or rushed. It should empower people and strengthen societies on both sides.

Job is Well exists to build that bridge responsibly. We prepare candidates properly, speak honestly about challenges, and stay involved even after they arrive in Japan. My vision is simple but ambitious: to create workplaces where people thrive because of who they are, and where global talent is respected, supported, and given room to grow.

I lead Job is Well India with one core responsibility in mind: protecting students while helping them move forward.

I lead Job is Well India with one core responsibility in mind: protecting students while helping them move forward. With a background in language education, cross-cultural training, and seven years of teaching Japanese, I understand how overwhelming international pathways can feel—especially for first-generation global professionals.

I am JLPT N1 certified, hold a degree in English Literature, and have lived and worked in Japan. More importantly, I have worked closely with students from different social and economic backgrounds, listening to their concerns, limitations, and hopes. I know that success abroad depends not only on language ability, but on emotional readiness, clear expectations, and reliable support.

At Job is Well India, my role is to ensure that every student and partner institution receives transparent guidance, realistic timelines, and consistent communication. I believe trust is built by doing fewer things—but doing them responsibly, carefully, and with long-term commitment to the individual’s well-being.

My work at Job is Well is shaped by one belief: true preparation goes far deeper than exams or certificates.

My work at Job is Well is shaped by one belief: true preparation goes far deeper than exams or certificates. Before entering education, I served for six years in the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, where discipline, responsibility, and quiet perseverance were part of daily life. When illness ended that path, I was forced to reflect deeply on purpose and direction.

Through language exchange and teaching, I rediscovered meaning in helping others communicate, adapt, and belong. I became a certified Japanese language instructor and now work in a multicultural academic environment, constantly learning from different perspectives.

At Job is Well, I focus on academic quality and human readiness. I ask not only “Can this student pass?” but “Can this person live well, work well, and endure change?” My role is to slow things down where needed, build strong foundations, and ensure that every step forward is thoughtful, ethical, and sustainable.

I’m from Manipur, and my work is guided by a simple mission: to expand access to quality education and meaningful opportunities for young people in my home state.

My journey led me to Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Japan, where I completed my degree in International Relations. Studying in a multicultural environment—and achieving JLPT N2 proficiency—gave me firsthand insight into what it takes not just to reach Japan, but to adapt, contribute, and succeed here.

I’ve worked with students in both academic and residential settings, including managing a university dormitory. These experiences shaped my approach: structured when needed, empathetic when it matters, and always focused on helping students grow with confidence.

At Job is Well, I strengthen the educational and preparation side of our programs. My focus is on ensuring that candidates are academically ready and mentally equipped for the realities of life in Japan. I believe opportunities must be built on strong foundations—and with the rig

Local Coordinator & Mobilization Lead

Nuyi Yirang

I am based in Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh, where I serve as Local Coordinator and Mobilization Lead for Job is Well India.

I am based in Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh, where I serve as Local Coordinator and Mobilization Lead for Job is Well India. My work focuses on connecting candidates from Arunachal Pradesh with genuine employment opportunities in Japan through structured SSW visa training and placement programs.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Japanese language, which forms the foundation of both my professional expertise and my personal commitment to Japan-bound career development. Understanding the language and culture allows me to guide candidates more effectively—helping them grasp not just the practical requirements of the SSW pathway, but also what life and work in Japan truly entails.

My experience includes cultural exchange programs across India and Japan, along with work in interpretation, translation, student mentoring, and project coordination. These experiences have helped me understand both sides of the journey—what candidates hope for, and what is expected of them once they arrive.

On the ground, my role spans candidate outreach and mobilization, regional coordination, and supporting prospective participants through the enrollment and preparation process. I work closely with the team to ensure that candidates from this region receive the attention, clarity, and support they need to make informed decisions about their futures.

I believe Arunachal Pradesh has tremendous untapped potential, and it is a privilege to play a role in opening pathways for young people here to build meaningful careers in Japan.
